It isn’t luxury unless it’s unnecessary. Can you even get extenders on your sun visors anymore? It’s like smoker’s windows, but at least those were fun!

My entire visors slide forward and back.

Yeah those are kinda common. God’s work when the standard visor won’t reach far enough.

I have sun visors for rear passengers.

No, get on the level of my Riviera I had. Main visor came down and would swivel off to the side and had an extendy bit, and then beneath that was ANOTHER visor that would flip down and ALSO extend to cover the gap between the two visors.

I have a rear rollerblind and mirrors for the back passengers.

See, and that’s exactly why this thing is so silly.

But usually the entire sun visor can be pulled out. Is it normal to get a piece of plastic that does the same job more expensively and worse?

I found a video I made. Now you get on my fucking level.

My Tacoma does this. I was amazed when I discovered it. Definitely a “why does no one else do this??” moment.

Old car (sc400) had a middle sun visor that flipped down to cover between the mirror and windshield frame. #Luxury

Other variations I’ve seen include one where the main visor is on an extendable pole to serve the same function as that thing, one where there’s a second sun visor under the first one so you can have one to the front and one to the side, and my car, which has a third smaller sun visor in the middle to block the area above the mirror.

Buick is the only true luxury brand.

Lol, I love that!

I have that silly extender too...
![]() 11/15/2016 at 19:37 |

Id rather mine did that than have this extender, but i’ll take what i can get considering the alternative...

My Touareg has the main visor (which can go to the side), a secondary to block forward vision, and a third center-mounted visor so you can’t see any streetlights out the front at all.
None of the extenders, though.
(pic is from a Passat I think)

I swear I’ve been in an Acura that the entire things slid.

Because my 90's Toyota is the classiest car in the world.
![]() 11/15/2016 at 19:57 |

MDX maybe?
![]() 11/15/2016 at 19:58 |

Considering most Toyotas are named after something monarchical I have no doubts of that!
![]() 11/15/2016 at 20:06 |

I’ve never ridden in an MDX. Maybe it was a TL.

Power seats! You decadent greedy capitalist.

I found a set of those from a 2000 Explorer that fit my 87 Cougar perfectly and were the correct color. They’ve been invaluable.

4-way adjustment at that!

FJ Cruiser Dual Visors* for obnoxiously long side windows.

My NINETEEN NINETY EIGHT Camry had them. My ‘04 Mazda don’t. My ‘15 Mazda does.

Annoyingly, my Prius’s sun visors don’t have extensions and don’t support being pulled out. Upshot is, I use my hand to block the sun.

I miss my ZJ Grand Cherokee...

My sun visors are wide enough that they don’t need to extend, they just cover the entire side window, and nearly all of the front.
